Nathan Legere

Please take a minute to learn a little more about Nathan Legere, one of our participants at STEPs on Arthur. After having previously participated in several other programs, Nathan is now attached to our Second Life Used Goods program, affectionately known internally as the SLUG program . Nathan is very versatile, readily testing electronics, moving product throughout the building and receiving donations but we all know that his real preference is to be outside, regardless of the weather. This may be the result of growing up on Nuttby Mountain, which tends to experience more snow and wind than the rest of Colchester County! Although he no longer lives there, Nathan still enjoys going home to help family members cut and split their winter firewood or ride that tractor lawnmower around for as long as is necessary. Over the last couple of years, Nathan has also helped with the maintenance of various local hiking trails, recognizing the importance of volunteering in community. That is not to say, however, that he doesn’t enjoy the benefits of his paid employment with Aggregate Equipment, earning some extra money and enjoying the camaraderie among the staff. For Nathan, it is all about having balance…a little training, a little work and a little volunteering, with a whole lot of teasing thrown in. You always know when Nathan is about to torment. You will see that slow smile start and his eyes light up, then you can do nothing but wait for it to start!
