Tracie Baird

Tracie Baird is a participant of long standing at STEPs on Arthur. Over 25 years ago, she came to us as a shy, quiet young woman just out of high school. While she is still quiet, Tracie is far from shy these days. She is very quick to engage with her fellow program participants and is even quicker to torment the staff. Over the years, Tracie assisted in the New to You, operating cash and maintaining shelves and she is adept at any type of packaging or collating contract that comes our way. Having said that, Tracie is most at home in the Ribbons and Buttons program where she is involved in stapling and gluing ribbons or occasionally using the stamp machine. She is very capable of following a ribbon order from start to finish and ensuring that the order is as it should be, before she packs it up to be shipped – Oh Wait! We should clarify that. She can do that when she isn’t distracted by conversation Needless to say, Tracie can take a little teasing in the same way she gives it out. We want to congratulate Tracie on her recent participation in the Transitions to Independent Living program. By doing so, Tracie was able to work on many life skills that will lend to her success when she moves into her brand new apartment in the next few weeks. Great to have you as part of our team Tracie.
