Virginia Haight

Virginia Haight is a long term client participant at STEPs on Arthur. She was involved back in the very early days of the Butler Center and spent a little time at our Prince location, before moving to Ontario for a few years. Virginia returned in 1996 and has been involved with our programs ever since. Please don’t jump to the conclusion that Virginia must be bored with it all by now because she is one of those individuals who has the ability to be successful in any of our programs and she has tried most of them! Over the years, she has been involved with stripping furniture and assembling ribbons. She has enjoyed assisting in the New to You and loved learning new skills in the Intercolonial Café. Unfortunately, the Café has been closed during Covid and Virginia is looking forward to seeing her former customers when the new café opens in Delaney House. In the meantime, she is helping with the Eastlink contract and working at the Colchester Historeum a couple of mornings each week. Virginia is a private person, who loves her family and her cat. She doesn’t jump into friendships easily but when you earn her trust and her respect, she remains loyal for life.
